The EOTS EXPERIMENT Take two November 27, 2014

So I am a bad little elf . . .

I got so involved decorating, and messing with, I mean watching the Kelly Kids last year I didn't write every day what I did.  So I am starting early!

This year the Kelly boy has had a tough year. He's been at the top of the naughty list almost everyday I would give you examples but due to my contract I am unable to speak of what happens in the Kelly House unless I personally do it.

So this year I noticed that the Mom Kelly really wants to decorate her house, I decided to help her out!  Last year they took forever to decorate . . .  this year I am prepared!  I am pulling out their Christmas Trees, setting them up and pulling out the ornaments so they can put them on.

I have all sorts of fun stuff planned for the Kelly Kids and even some fun gifts too.

Anyways these trees are heavy I better get to work before the kids wake up!

Signing off for now

December 1, 2013 It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Okay . . . what is wrong with this family?

It's December First and not a single decoration has been put up in this house.  No tree, nothing but a wreath the mom is working on as a Christmas present.  This is making me sick, where is the Christmas Spirit?   I have spent this whole day watching from the bathroom and they have done nothing!  I think it is time for this elf to take charge. I am confident they will take my hint if I decorate a little for them.   But what can I decorate that needs some sprucing up?

I got it!  Those little fish seem so sad in that tank maybe I can find something special to put in it. Jingle Bells!  They have cute little Grinch ornaments underneath this thing!  Time to dive in.

Whew!  That water was colder than snowballs in your pants! Now the tank looks festive.  I went on with my night like always watching over the family as the slept, played some peek a boo with a few strung out barbie dolls (just kidding), did a little rocking around the house since no Christmas Tree was in sight, and sipped on some hot cocoa I found in the kitchen.   The night proved to be very active and entertaining. It was time for me to go dormant again. So I went to find myself a place near the fish tank.  When I got there I realized that . . .

It was still missing something! Though the Grinch ornaments made the tank cute, but it wouldn't get the message across like I wanted it to.  So I decided to do one last thing before the Kelly's all woke up to find me.   I decorated it a little further placing red and green ornaments all around the lid of the fish tank.   I perched myself right behind it that way I could watch the fish all day long.  Can you see me in this picture?

When the Kelly's woke up they found my cute little decorations and guess what they are still up! I knew being a little festive would make them want to decorate more.  Despite my efforts of trying to make the Kelly Boy and Girl get off the naughty list they were extremely bad.  This gave me and idea for my next night's work . . .

My finished product isn't it beautiful!  How can they not love decorating for Christmas? It's so therapeutic just like ice cream made out of snow!

Please enjoy the following song . . . Remix!

I don't think anyone realizes how much fun it is to have full range of a house while people sleep!  I think I was cooped up in that box too long, I have this little twitch which made me want to dance.  I danced my little bells off all night long.   Then as it got closer to everyone waking up I decided that the kids really needed to see what I was made of!  So I looked all over the house hoping to find the right element to get my point across.

I ended up in the bathroom . . .  there I was met by thousands of frogs ( The mother has an obsession it seems) and they told me exactly where I needed to be.  I scrambled into one of the cupboards and quickly found my writing instrument a bottle of shaving cream.  Carefully I sprayed the mirrors and to my horror it started to drip down and make a mess.  I didn't have much time to fix it so I had leave behind a mess.

My message was a simple one . . .and I hoped it would get my point across.  I took a picture would you like to see?  If you look very carefully you may actually see my hiding spot! I like being up high this way I ensure I keep my magic for the night.

It was hysterical the Mom was extremely upset over the mess I made.  I don't blame her I did not realize that shaving cream would expand.  By the time morning came around the words Be Good became a big ole mess.  You couldn't even see the words. But the Kelly Girl knew exactly what I wrote she is sooo smart!

The Dad was upset I used up most of his shaving creme, and the kids well let's just say they were so scared of me removing myself from my spot next to the t.v. that they were too frightened to go to the bathroom.  I was even more frightening than the basement which they will not go down into unless they are together.

So my first experience with the Kelly Family was comical, they had to keep the light off so I wouldn't burn my buns on the light I perched on.

I should have brought some marshmallows I like them toasty!

Today's blog was brought to you with extra cheer up on the house top!

November 29, 2013 The E.O.T.S Experiment (Elf On the Shelf)

Hi!

My name is Samuel Mistletoe and today I was adopted by the Kelly Family as a new addition for the Christmas season.  See this picture . . .that's me !  Nope not the green gnome with the grenade in his hand.  The little red guy holding his genitals!  (Hey they posed me that way not my fault!)

The Kelly parents adopted me with one mission in mind to report to Santa about their two children a girl who is 8 and boy who is 5.  For safety reasons I will only refer to them as Kelly Boy and Kelly Girl.  There are way too many creepers out there.  He he he.

So why does this normal family need little ole' me to help out this holiday season??  Well the truth is Kelly Boy and Kelly Girl have been overly naughty this year.  Mainly Kelly Boy, they picked me out especially for him!

So now that I am here it is my job to watch this family every day and report back to Santa what I observe.  Which I can tell you is not very good!

Maybe you are wondering what I am or how I work well let me in on a little secret . . . I'm magic!  First of all I am adopted by a family.  I have no name, no purpose, basically I sit stagnant in a box until I am adopted.  This provides to be a overly boring and dull deal.  Have you ever sat still for half your life?  Trust me it is not easy.

The family decides to take me home and there the parents read the children a story all about me.  The book was written by Carol V. Aerbersold and Chanda A. Bell.   It was illustrated by Coe Steinwart.  They have to read the whole book before they can decide my fate.   The book tells them that there is only one rule that if they touch me my magic might go.  One rule people it's simple and easy.  Hopefully they can follow it!

The Kelly Family chose my name with great scrutiny. They threw a bunch of names into a hat and drew for a First and Middle name.   They had all sorts of names in that hat, Samuel, Buddy, Link, Mistletoe, Jingle . . .  but initially I became Samuel which eventually led to Samuel Mistletoe!

So now I am here and I am very pleased to meet you!  I know I will have a lot of fun messing(er I mean) watching this family over the next 27 days.  Yup 27 they get me two extra days just because of how bad Kelly Boy really is!

Come back and check in with me and see where I end up!

And thank you for participating in the E.O.T.S Experiment!
